Tom Clancys Splinter Cell-PS2
Review
This game is stunning, one of the best games of the year. As we all know, this game originated from the XBOX, and was so good that they made it for the PS2 and the Gamecube. Everything in this game is beautifully detailed. The graphics are awesome, and the gameplay is challenging. Theres something for you to get the feel of this game, so now lets get to the review:
Graphics-10/10___The graphics in this game are jaw-dropping, there is no other way to say it. Every little thing seems to move if you touch it. The gameplay graphics are so good, it seems like you’re playing in a cut scene. This game is very, very, very detailed. Awesome overall graphics.
Gameplay-9/10___The controls are perfect I don’t think they could be any better, but the only thing I don’t like about them, is the slow gun movement. There are some very cool features, you can hold someone with a gun to there head, bring them to a dark place, and knock them out with the end of your gun so they are hidden, you can pick locks with a lock pick, and you can repel down a wall, those are only a few, but there are many other nice features. But beware this game WILL get you frustrated, just trust me on that one.
Sound-8/10___There really isn’t that much sound in this game…just joking. There is the occasional loose gravel, creaky wood, and hollow surfaces you walk over and make noises, but almost everything makes a noise in the game (so what the heck was I talking about talking about) and it all sounds real, really, really, real…..except for the voice acting. The voice acting sucks, and it sucks a lot. Sam Stone (the main character) sounds exactly like those deep voiced guys in most video games, it actually reminded me of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
Replay Value-5/10___This game is lucky I even gave it a 5/10 for the replay value, but once you beat the game, it is sort of fun to go back and try to beat the missions other ways, or just shoot people, and carry them around. But after you beat it, you really don’t want to play the game all over again. There is no multiplayer value in this game because there is no multiplayer on the game.
I give this game a overall score of 32/40. That’s not the best in the world, but its pretty dang close. I recommend this game if your looking for a metal gear solid type game, except with more stealthy action in it.
