Insert your Action Replay into your console, and a GBA game into Action Replay’s GBA slot. While the GBA or DS is powered off, hold A+B+Start+Select+Right shoulder button+Left shoulder button. While holding the above buttons, switch on the GBA or DS, but do not release these buttons. A message box appears. Let go of the ‘A’ button, then press and hold it again. The console powers up, and factory settings are restored.

First transfer the game  on the action replay code manager to your My codelist. Then right click by the other codes and select add new cheat and copy the code from the website and paste on the code manager and after that drag the game back with the other games.

before you turn the gba or ds on hold down th A+B+L+R+START+SELECT bottons then turn it on while holding the bottons down then theres a message let go of  the A botton then push A to get out of the screen but after you push A hold it down.

Click on that game below the heading "the following codes were found". Below the name of the cheat ( for example: walk through walls) and type in the letters bellow that cheat by...clicking add new code->typing in the name of the cheat-> and writting down the characters (code) down in your action replay.

Press L and R. This code will put 493 (the number of Pokemon in the game) Master Balls in your bag. To get a Pokemon toss Master Balls so you have the same number of Master Balls as the ID # of the Pokemon you want to appear in the wild. Then hold down L and run around in tall grass. For example, say I want a Totadile. Totadile's ID # is 158. 493 - 158 = 335. Toss 335 Master Balls so you have 158 left. try to re-install the action replay code manager(ARCM) and turn on AUTO DETECT PC ON YOUR ACTION REPLAY AND IF YOU DONT KNOW how to do it insert it in your ds and click on the tool in the bottom right of the touch screen

So, your saying that you have the Action Replay hooked up, but it dosen't do anything? No problem!

Steps:

1. If your AR came with a disk, put it into the computer. Your computer will now install the Action Replay Code Manager.

2. Open the Code Manager. It will now say 'Waiting for DS' in the 'Nintendo DS' box. Plug your AR into the computer. (LEAVE THE AR in the DS and LEAVE THE DS ON). Now, your AR will upload it's contents into the computer.

3. Now you can either

a) Upgrade the drives

b): Put new codes in

            OR

c) Install AR Framework

There you go! A complete 'How to' on updating the AR!

To delete Action Replay codes and/or reset it to Factory Settings, follow these steps!

1. Enter the Code Manager.

2. Hook up your Action Replay

3. Turn your DS on.

4. Your AR will now try to update itself. But, it won't.

5. Look in the Nintendo DS box

6: Click on every game and press the garbage can icon.

If that's too hard for you, try this.

1. Open the Code Manager

2. Press 'Quick Update'

3. Your AR will now start deleting games.

4. As soon as the process is done, turn off the connection.

WARNING: Unplugging your AR during the 'Quick Update' process might ruin your AR. Just turn it off to avoid corruption.

There. Your entire AR will be wiped out.

When the Nitendo DS menu appears, hold down Start + Select as well as A + B. Still holding down all of the buttons, wait for the "Action Replay DS menu to appear and your good to go!

To fix this problem you have to use your AR code manager, click and drag the game that won't work, turn off your DS, then turn it back on, and it should work this time. i bought mine at best buy but there was only 1 left ,so i got lucky.

go on some websites like bestbuy.com, walmart.com, and any other store website u think that would sell action replay and see if there in stock of some.my friend said its kinda hard 2 get action replay because there sold out.

Let me answer your question with one of my own. Is your game already on the AR?

If it is, then that means your game is a different version of it. For example, on my gameshark,

I have Firered and Leafgreen VERSION 1.1 and 1.2. So tere is your problem.

Ask someone who fixes mechanical stuff or video games to help fix what broken (after u test ur AR on a friends game to see whats really broken) 3. Try ur luck and keep trying to see if it freezes 4. Find a new hobby and sell ur pokemon stuff  5. Go home and cry (I perfer 1 and 2)

Mine Does the Same Thing. No Nothing is wrong it's probaly your computer. Just blow on the game card and you'll be fine.

It will tell you to enter the game name so do that then press next. then it will say enter code name. enter the code name and make sure you put every letter in including the dash then press next. the game should show up. one problem, you dont have any codes. i suggest going to code junkies.com or game winner.com

Make sure you have the latest version of the ARCM.  If you don't, you will need to do a software upgrade.  If you haven't done so already, create a new codelist under the "My Codelists."  Copy the codes for Pokemon Pearl under your custom codelist.  You can then right-click on the title of the game and add new codes as you wish.

For the hardware, try resetting the Action Replay by loading it on the DS and holding the A, B, Start, and Select buttons.  The first screen should persist for much longer than normal, and when the Action Replay DS main menu loads, your hardware should be reset.  At this time, try connecting it to your PC and transferring data again.

When it says unknoun game it means that you ether have to clean it and the game by bowing into the slot for the game (game too) to get rid of any dirt or dust in it. Or that you dont have the codes for that game.

well first you have to go to the mouse and then a thing should show up saying NEW GAME NAME then enter it then another thing should show up that says NEW GAME ID then you look at the ds manual and on the back should be a barcode and about 6 or 7 or 8 numbers (there all fine) then enter it and press next then you can do cheats on that game!

from what i know u need to get a new one bcuz that problem is unfixable.

if its cuz there waz a distubance when downloading codes or you where doing something u need to get a new one even the slighest bump can cause this when downloading or doing somthing

if somethig else happened or it just started doing this 4 some reason then i aint got a clue

I had the same problem but i put a drop of liquid and rubbed it with a dry paper towel if not blow in to the ds or action replay i that doesn't help i just bought a new one...

The same thing happened to me today. Try to blow on your ds game slot, your ARDS, and your DS game. If that doesn't work, then try to erase it by doing it with the ARDS Code Manager online, or while turning on the DS with the AR in it, hold A+B before turning on theDS, then when you turn it on, hold A+B+SELECT+START, the when the action replay main screen turns on, let go, and everything will be erased.  If THAT doesn't work, then you have to buy a new one. when you select some codes on the action replay you press start and if it freezes say for pokemon white on ds then you'l probally just have to update you action replay
