The VGAs (Spike's video game awards show) premiered the first video of Halo: Reach. The new video shows Osprey like VTOL planes carrying troops to the front lines, while a new Spartan meets up with his squad. In Halo: Reach, you play as a new Spartan on a squad of five other Spartans (six total) to take on the Covenant.
Luckily for us, that's not all of the news to come out of the trailer. At the end of the trailer, the video says that the multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach will begin in "Spring". Later posts by Bungie employees seem to have that date moving much closer (but still falling in Spring), to as soon as March. If the multiplayer Beta for Halo 3 is any indication, the Halo: Reach beta may last as long as a month or two.
Halo: Reach is scheduled to hit store shelves this upcoming Fall, most likely in September, if past games are any indication. Also, players that own Halo 3: ODST are already invited to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, a fact that was confirmed during the video.
