We're only two days away from the next patch for Team Fortress 2 (TF2), Valve's comedically devastating team-based fps. Players are being encouraged to play and craft items in-game for the chance to win a Golden Wrench. If players collect enough Golden Wrenches in Team Fortress 2 they will be rewarded with more unlockable information about the overall update. Players can even track their progress on the Golden Wrench Log online!
What we know so far is that a new weapon wll be available for the TF2 Engineer referred to as the Frontier Justice. Click the image for a full-sized preview.

This new TF2 shotgun caters to a different type of gameplay. Rather than encouraging Engineers to run-and-gun, holding the Frontier Justice will award them with "revenge crits". Engineers will get two crits for every kill their sentries amass as well as one crit for every assisted kill.
In addition, should a sentry be destroyed either by the opposing team or as a self-destruct, the Engineer will receive "bonus crits". So get building and discover more news about Valve's upcoming patch for Team Fortress 2!
Here is the official notice:
Valve announced the Engineer Update, the largest single-class update ever for its award-winning multiplayer action game, Team Fortress 2. The update introduces new maps, items, achievements, and more.
Between now and Thursday, when the update is released, Valve is issuing Golden Wrenches to TF2 players. Every time Engineers "craft" (build) something in the game, they have a chance of getting a Golden Wrench. Every 25th Wrench awarded unlocks more info about the update.
