In a rather interesting announcement, several classic PSP and PS2 titles will be remade in HD and full 3D for the PlayStation 3. In addition to annoucing that all of the PlayStation Portable God of War titles are being remade, the crowd went wild when it was announced that the cult classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are also being remade.
Shadow of the Collosus was a game made for the PlayStation 2 which had you climbing and defeating gigantic creatures - each of these creatures are so big that they are a level of the game.
ICO has you rescuing a little princess/girl from a dungeon, in a wonderful, wistful graphical styling unique even by today's standards. The remakes of these classics are certainly welcome news, and for those of us with 3DTVs, it'll bring a level of depth we haven't yet seen.
StageSelect.com's coverage of the Electronics Entertainment Expo 2011 continues. We'll be bringing you all of the news to come out of the Sony E3 Press Conference, as the event happens. Stay tuned June 6th through June 10th for additional details on brand new games as they're revealed for the first time to the game playing public.
